Summary
The 1970s saw an initial increase in violence in the Middle East as Egypt and Syria declared war on Israel. Canada tried to broker peace but the tension between the countries was high and it wasnt until, the situation in the Middle East fundamentally altered when Egypt signed the Egyptian–Israeli Peace Treaty. There is still some stress to this day in the countries and in the middle east in general.
