Summary : General Arthur Currie, the replacement of Byng, had a great prediction however couldn't stop the big loss because of General Haig.

-Byng was promoted for what he did at Vimy.
-replaced by a Canadian, General Arthur Currie - former real estate dealer from Victoria, BC
-Currie was good with strategies but he followed General Haigs orders still.
-1917, Currie and CEF to retake Passchendaele Ridge in Belgium.
-problem - heavy autumn rains actually made some soldiers and horse drowned.
-Currie warned that many would die but Haig didn't change his mind.
-Haig was a bad leader.
-Even though Allies wont the battle, it costed over 15 000 Canadians and half a million in total during this battle on the both sides.
